WASARA wins prestigious Asian Award

WASARA is pleased to announce that Mr. Shinichiro Ogata, creative director at WASARA, presented a speech at the “Design for Asia Award – Fee Design Seminar” on 25 August 2010 at the Hong Kong Design Centre
WASARA won the Grand prize as well as the Gold prize of “Design for Asia (DFA) Award 2009?. As a result WASARA was invited to present a speech. This is the first year that Hong Kong Design Center has strengthened the education and publication components of their DFA Award by offering public lectures by past DFA Award winners. They are organized for designers and the general public at large to provide unique insights into innovation, design strategies and sustainability.
On that day, Ogata shared his experiences with the audience on how the WASARA design and concept has been embraced and emphasis sustainability and he also talked about Japanese traditional gastronomy and aesthetic values.
