Sustainable Disposables at Taste of Amsterdam 2015

The culinary event season is already up and running in Amsterdam and so far we have had the pleasure to attend several wonderful events, among which the popular Rollende Keukens and the first ever Culy Festival.
Next in the lineup is the most iconic of them all; Taste of Amsterdam, held in the wonderful Amstel Park. The doors to “Foodie Heaven” will open coming Thursday.
The international concept allows people living in cities all around the world to literally taste their city. The four day culinary festival has a lot to offer, not only fantastic tastings of signature dishes from the hottest restaurants in Amsterdam, but also other food related activities. Such as the Masterchef Academy live cooking performances by Dutch and international chefs at the AEG Taste Theater.
Taste of Amsterdam has something for everyone, even for the little ones who can experience Taste of Kids.
The growing trend of using locally sourced products is being represented at the Tastes very own farmers market, where restaurant display their own specialties.
The culinary industry has made incredible progress in converting their operations to more sustainable outlets. The unwritten rule (and sometimes even written) at most culinary events is to use sustainable disposable tableware.
