CHEFS®EVOLUTION – The story continued!

After the succesful start in June 2012, CHEFS®EVOLUTION was back this year! On the 14th and 15th of September, Jonnie and Thérèse Boer organized the successful Dutch Avantgarde Cuisine Festival around their Restaurant De Librije, Librije’s Hotel and the Spiegel Theatre in Zwolle.
During the festival, many well-known and prestigious chefs from all over the world came together to demonstrate their inspiring views and methods of modern cooking. And not just any chefs; michelin star chefs from the San pellegrino’s top 50 best restaurants of the world, including the 3rd best chef Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy. After the airline lost his bags full of ingredients, he had to improvise his speech and spoke about his project for the Expo 2015 in Milan, for which he invited the Pope and his michelin star colleagues to create culinary masterpieces out of left overs! We were very excited to have had the pleasure of meeting this inspiring man at the doorstep of De Librije and sharing some thoughts about his interesting project!
Different local restaurants were represented on the BOERenmarkt XL, where the guests could taste and experience delicious dishes of Dutch descent that were served on our beautiful Hampi plates with Aspenware cutlery. Our sustainable disposables formed the ideal solution for the BOERenmarkt XL, that was set up on a field of grass. Next to the logistical and practical advantages, Hampi and Aspenware perfectly suited the sunny, authentic atmosphere at the BOERenmarkt XL. It was a great success!
