Foodlogica for cleaning Amsterdam’s last local food mile

Local food, sustainable energy, solar power and electric trikes. All involved in Foodlogica: a logistical system designed to clean the last mile of Amsterdam’s local food system. This inspiring initiative aims to connect local food, consumers and businesses in the city of Amsterdam through transport that reduces emissions, congestion and pollution.
On the 14th of September, Foodlogica, CITIES Foundation’s first commercial activity, was officially kicked off at the ‘Solar Boat Parade’s Square of the Future’ at the Westergasfabriek. Ever since, Foodlogica forms the solution for the urban food paradox in which quality local food is sustainably prepared but transported by polluting means contributing to congested streets.
Foodlogica is an innovative logistical delivery service that uses solo powered cargo e-trikes to integrate convenient, zero-emission transportation to local food businesses. They select high quality local food partners and develop working relationships for the long term to realise fast and clean delivery.
SD Trading contributes to sustainable transportation with our offer of efficiently packaged, lightweight packages that enable easy and minimalized logistics. SD Trading’s team finds Foodlogica an amazing initiative for a more sustainable future of local food businesses!
